NuView Trust Company transitioning accounts to Inspira Financial
NuView Trust Company (NuView) has appointed Inspira Financial Trust, LLC (Inspira) as successor custodian of self-directed accounts currently held at NuView.
Founded in 2003 by Glen Mather, NuView has strived to provide clients with the broadest possible choices in their IRAs, as well as world class service and simple solutions in the complex world of alternative asset custody.
Following Inspira’s acquisition of NuView in November 2023, NuView has decided to resign as custodian and appoint Inspira as successor custodian in order to provide the best possible products and services to its clients. This means all NuView accounts will transfer to Inspira — and NuView’s strong team of experts is moving to Inspira too.
“We’re excited to integrate our customer-centric operational and technology platforms into the Inspira Financial suite of products and services,” said Jason DeBono, former NuView Trust Company President and Inspira’s new head of self-directed accounts. “Clients can expect the same exceptional client experience while gaining access to additional solutions, providing even more ways for them to support their wealth and retirement goals."
With Inspira, your self-directed account experience will be further enhanced through a broad range of services and a more advanced, user-friendly experience, all while maintaining the high standards you have come to expect at NuView. Learn more about Inspira self-directed IRAs,

Are there any additional or changed fees associated with this transfer?
There are no additional fees associated with the transfer of your account to Inspira, and your current fee structure will not change at this time.
How will this transfer affect my investments and funds?
This transfer will not impact your investments and funds. All existing investments will be maintained as they are currently, with no further action needed on your part.
Assets will not be retitled, but all assets purchased or transferred after the Nov. 1, 2024, transition date will need to be titled in the name of Inspira Financial Trust, LLC as custodian.

No, there are no immediate actions required from you to move your account to Inspira on Nov. 1, 2024. We will take care of everything to make the transfer as seamless as possible. However, if you do not want your account to transfer to Inspira, you must take action by Oct. 28, 2024.
Can I opt out of the transfer of my account to Inspira?
If you do not want your account to transfer to Inspira, you have the right to direct NuView in writing, on or before Oct. 28, 2024, to either (i) process a full distribution of your account, or (ii) transfer your account to another custodian of your choice. For a full distribution, please complete the NuView Distribution form and include any supporting paperwork for distribution of assets. If you decide to transfer your account, you must make arrangements with a new custodian and complete their account opening paperwork, including a Transfer Request. This Transfer Request must be in good order and received by NuView on or before Oct. 28, 2024. Upon NuView’s receipt of the Transfer Request, NuView will transfer your assets. If your Transfer Paperwork is received after Oct. 28, 2024, your account will transfer to Inspira, and Inspira will process your Transfer Request.
You should consult with your own professional advisers regarding any decision to transfer your account to a financial institution other than Inspira or to request a full distribution of your account, including with respect to potential tax consequences.
What changes can I expect with this transfer?
There are no changes to your experience and service at this time, but as of Nov. 1, 2024, you will see the Inspira brand within your online portal and across all communications. It’s also important to note that while some forms may still refer to NuView and/or South Dakota law, rest assured that Inspira will be the custodian, and your account will be governed by Illinois law.
What does it mean that my custodial agreement is governed by Illinois law instead of South Dakota law and how does this affect my account?
Most aspects of IRAs are governed by federal law. However, since Inspira Financial Trust, LLC is an Illinois trust company, your custodial agreement will be governed by Illinois law effective as of the transition date. Your custodial agreement outlines Inspira’s, as custodian of your self-directed account, responsibilities to you as an accountholder as well as your responsibilities to Inspira.
Will my online experience and login credentials change at this time?
During this transition time, you will continue to access your account as you always have with no change to your login experience, username, or password.
